Indonesian e-commerce Bukalapak and digital payment platform Dana has been collaborating to launch a digital wallet called Buka Dana. This digital wallet service adds payment options to the Bukalapak application.
“Buka Dana has become a new channel for transactions within Bukalapak. Users are now more easy to complete a transaction because there are more choices to make payments,” said Bukalapak President Fajrin Rasyid at the launching event of Buka Dana, as quoted from local media Liputan6.
Bukalapak’s co-founder added, with the ease of payment provided, hopefully, it will increase the income for pelapak (Bukalapak’s partner). The same thing was revealed by Chief Communication Officer of Dana, Chrisma Albandjar.
“We hope that more and more people will use this payment method. By Buka Dana, pelapak and buyer can transact easily without complicated payment process,” said Chrisma.
Buka Dana can already be used in the Bukalapak application to make transactions. The payment features have been available for Bukalapak App users on Android and iOS since 10 August.
Prior of Buka Dana launching, Bukalapak had taken various steps to carry out expansion in the fintech sector. Among others, by launching the Buka Emas gold trading service and the Buka Reksa mutual fund service.
