Go-Jek is now starting to expand its business to many sectors, even reportedly has now begun to enter the media realm.

Daily Social reported Go-Jek through its new investment business line Go-Ventures, entered the online media platform called Kumparan.

According to Daily Social’s unofficial source, the rumor has spread shortly after Go-Jek collaborated with Kumparan to provide news content in the Go-Jek application.

The truth of the news is also indicated by the Facebook status of President Commissioner Kumparan Budiono Dharsono, who announced the joining of Go-Jek President Andre Soelistyo as one of the Commissioner, as per September.

Kumparan is the online media that combines news media with social networks, were established by Detik.com veterans. The media was getting investment from the Djarum Group through GDP Venture on July last year.

Daily Social, the media that reports the entry of Go-Jek to Kumparan, is also a media that owned by the Djarum group.

Go-Jek has not issued an official statement regarding the news, including the amount of investment and the percentage of shares currently owned in Kumparan.

The presence of Go Ventures itself has been confirmed by the CEO of Go-Jek Nadiem Makarim, not long before the announcement of the Grab Ventures launch by Grab, last August.

With the entry of Go-Jek to the Kumparan, it further expands the diversification of the Go-Jek business, not only in the transportation, culinary and virtual payment business.
