Jakarta A total of 1,800 1440H / 2019M pilgrims will be dispatched to the Holy Land on July 6, 2019. The pilgrims who will depart on that date will enter the Hajj boarding house on Friday, July 5, 2019.
This is stated in the 1440H / 2019M Hajj Trip Plan issued by the Directorate General of Hajj and Umrah (DG PHU).
Director of Domestic Hajj Services Muhajirin Yanis said, 1,800 pilgrims to be flown on July 6, 2019, were divided into four groups.
“There are four fleets that will be dispatched. Two fleets are from Surabaya Embarkation (SUB) and two fleets are from Batam Embarkation (BTH),” he said in Jakarta on Wednesday (03/07/2019).
“Everything will be flown by Saudi Arabia Airline, with each group carrying 450 people,” he added.
He said, in this year’s Hajj Indonesia dispatched 529 flight groups which would be divided into two waves of flights.
The first wave will be flown on 6-19 July 2019, and the second wave will depart on 20 July-5 August 2019.
“For the first wave of pilgrims, it is planned to land in Medina, and the second wave will land in Jeddah,” Yanis said.
He added, just like last year, Indonesian pilgrims would be served by two airlines, namely Saudi Arabia Airline and Garuda Indonesia.
“Saudi Arabia Airline will transport 105,573 pilgrims from the Embarkation of Batam (BTH), Palembang (PLM), Jakarta Bekasi (JKS), part of Jakarta Pondok Gede (JKG), and Surabaya (SUB),” he explained.
Meanwhile, PT Garuda Indonesia will transport 111,072 pilgrims from the Aceh (BTJ), Medan (MES), Padang (PDG) embarkations, part of Jakarta Pondok Gede (JKG), Solo (SOC), Banjarmasin (BDJ), Balikpapan ( BPN), Makassar (UPG) and Lombok (LOP).
