Jakarta – Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) holds the Global Blockchain Investment Summit (GBIS). This is the second blockchain event held by Kadin in collaboration with the Blockchain Asia Forum (BAF).
The event itself was held as a means of exchanging information and experiences from stakeholders in the blockchain world. Blockchain itself is a technology that is able to provide and record digital transactions.
“I convey a tremendous appreciation to the panelists for their knowledge and application,” said Indonesian Chamber of Commerce Chairman Rosan Roeslani in the GBIS 2019 event at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Pacific Place, Jakarta, Monday (07/29/2019).
The event itself was held in 2 days, 29-30 July 2019. The event was attended by 1,500 participants and invited guests, as well as around 500 participants and guests from within the country.
Blockchain itself is a technology that also becomes the basis for digital money or cryptocurrency. But the blockchain can also be used for the world financial transaction system.
In Indonesia, blockchain technology has been utilized by banks. One of them is to receive remittances or shipments from abroad to Indonesia.
“So it is not surprising that blockchain in Indonesia is well received. Now it is still in its early stages,” he added.
According to Rosan, in the future, blockchain technology will be needed for the entire business world. Therefore, according to him, Indonesia needs to prepare itself.
