Jakarta’s total area is around 66,000 hectares (ha) whereas if we compare it with a new capital city, the area reaches 256,000 hectares, “he said. Meanwhile, Son said that his party was interested in investing in IKN located in East Kalimantan Province.
“The new capital has investment opportunities that I think we can discuss with its potential ideas,” he said. Nevertheless, Son emphasized that there were no specific plans related to his interest in investing in IKN.
“There is no [investment] figure yet. Still discussing its potentials first,” he added.
However, Son said it was interested in investing in aspects of smart cities, technology, and green cities. Previously, SoftBank had poured fresh investment worth US $ 2 billion in Indonesia. Son explained the investment was carried out through Grab and through other companies.
